Client Profile: merchandise catalog design
Home to a unique blend of eco-friendly gift items from the Brazilian rain-forests, Rainforest Native asked me to put together a catalog for their merchandise. I was called in last minute because the other graphic designer that they had contracted to do the job did not come through with anything that they were pleased with. I took care of everything from A to Z on this project. Besides designing the catalog, I also photographed all the merchandise in the catalog and used my resources to get models to wear the merchandise in some of the photographs.

Marla Verdugo is a hair and make-up artist and a stylist. She asked for a logo and business card that would include the colors fuschia, gold and black. It was also requested that a black and white photo that she had styled be incorporated in the design. Since her nickname was “Cupcake”,
I came up with a cupcake logo which I felt would make her more memorable to potential clients. The client loved the cupcake idea and went with the cupcake design as the final choice for her logo and business card.
